Though I am from Napa and Sonoma counties, I spent 10 years in southern California as a child. It was there that I began attending Seventh-day Adventist schools in 7th grade. In 1987 I graduated from Pacific Union College Preparatory School in Angwin, California. While in college, I worked with abused children at a group home and tutored math and English at Napa Valley College. I graduated with a B.A. in psychology from Sonoma State University in 1994 and then went on to receive a multiple subject teaching credential in 1996 via Simpson University in Redding, California. After teaching at a multigrade school in eastern Oregon, I spent the next several years homeschooling my children. I am excited to be returning to the classroom as teacher at Magalia Adventist School.
